City elections (Elecciónes Municipales)Upcoming City Election
The City of Flatonia will be holding an election on the second Saturday in May 2010. At this time, the seats that will be up for election are held by Mayor Jeff Hairgrove, Mayor Pro Tem Len Waska and Councilman Mark Eversole. The first day to file an application for a place on the ballot for the election is Saturday, February 6, 2010. This is also the first day to file a declaration of write-in candidacy. The last day to file an application for a place on the ballot for the general election is March 8, 2010. These dates are mandated by state law. Please come by City Hall at 125 E. South Main, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm to pick up information for filing for any of these positions. When filing, please remember to specify if you are filing for the special election or the general election. La proxima elección La próxima Elección Municipal para la Ciudad de Flatonia esta programada para el 8 de mayo de 2010. Habra dos posiciones abiertas para el Concejo de la Ciudad (concejales) y el Alcalde (Mayor) en esta eleccion general. La votación del 8 de mayo de 2010 se llevara acabo en la Cámaras de ayuntamiento en la municipalidad de Flatonia, localizada en 125 E. South Main.
